Do you know someone who has a child with special needs? Please share with them that there is a Special Needs Expo this Saturday, May 3rd.

From the desk of nurse manager, Heather Dahl RN

Children with special needs hold a special place in our hearts here at Pediatric Health Associates.   Our Medical Home program, which includes our Medical Home coordinator, Julie Blazek, RN, board certified pediatricians, and our registered nursing staff, can provide you and your child with extensive services.

Caring for a special needs child can be overwhelming at times.  The long lists of specialist appointments, diagnostic testing, procedures, surgeries, and follow up appointments can create feelings of anxiety, intimidation, and discouragement.
Here at PHA, we understand the stresses and extraordinary care needed to care for your child.  We are here to provide support to the entire family both physically and emotionally.

We know how important it is to provide extra support for our special needs families.   Our services include, but are not limited to, coordination of care with specialists, emotional support, 24 hour access to our medical team, extra time for appointments, and treatment and wellness plans based on the specific needs of your individual child.  Call us today or click on the Medical Home tab on our website for more information.

Nurse Practitioner Romina Gieseman and West Chicago office manager Mabel Chirolla started a support group for our Hispanic families who have a child with autism through our sister organization, the CareLink Foundation.   Meetings are held in conjunction with the West Chicago Park District.  If you are interested in joining or finding out more information, please feel free to call CareLink at

This Saturday, May 3rd there is a free networking fair in St. Charles.  Below is information about the fair.  We hope that you'll find it to be informative and provides you with some great resources.
