In 2011 we opened a new office in Bolingbrook to better serve our families in the area.  We are happy to announce that in just 4 short years we have outgrown that office and shortly will be moving to a new facility.   Our new location at 260 S. Schmidt Rd, Suite D, in Bolingbrook is expected to open June 1st.  The new office will be just north of Lily Cache on Schmidt.  We will continue to be on staff at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital. More details will follow as we get closer to the move-in date.

We are excited to provide the Bolingbook/Romeoville communities with expanded services
and the location will be more convenient for area school children.

If you haven’t registered for our patient portal we ask you to consider doing so at this time.   The portal is a great way to have all of your child’s health information in one convenient place.  Need another copy of their school physical?  No problem…you can print it right off the portal!

If you haven’t yet signed up or have misplaced your Follow My Health invitation, give us a call and we will be happy to resend your invitation.  Our office number is 630-717-2300.

The latest outbreak of measles across the country have many families concerned about when their child should receive the MMR vaccine.  As you know, nationally there has been discussion on how safe the vaccine is….as opposed to the risk of children not being immunized in the midst of the measles outbreak.    One of our families was impacted when their child under 12 months of age was exposed elsewhere causing the child to be quarantined for 3 weeks.   The financial impact on working parents being out of the office for that long a period can really strain a family’s budget.

The MMR vaccine is given at your child’s 12 month visit.  If you prefer to wait, we are happy to discuss with you the benefits of the vaccine versus the risk of waiting.  We hope that you will agree to your child being vaccinated by their 15 month checkup.

For children who join our practice at an older age but are not immunized will be asked to be vaccinated within a few months of joining us.  Pediatric Health requires that patients be immunized to protect our children and our community.

Feel free to contact us if you have questions on this very important health topic.
